As a wardrobe consultant and personal shopper, I have kept away from the shops for the last few weeks! The stores are still hanging on the the remnants of the sale rails, but not for much longer. At last the new stock is gradually taking to the shop floor. The current British weather is not very inspiring when thinking about the new spring looks, but a great way to dip your toe in is to start with a couple of new accessories to add a bit of interest to your existing outfits, and to sheer you up without breaking the bank.

Shoes

There is plenty to choose from if you want a really daring look for your feet this spring. You’ll find architectural heel details and shoes that look like they could be in an art gallery. Are they for you? You decide. Just be sure the attention of your outfit doesn’t get stuck at your feet but moves from up to your face.

Gladiator sandals compete with tall wedges and platforms for spring’s attention. Booties remian, only now they have cutout toes to make the shoe cooler. A nude shoe will come in handy with all the pattern in clothing- pair nudes with your best print dresses. Lighter-colored leather boots or fabric boots are a great transition from winter to spring.
